The 4T Power Systems Schwintek Cable system tester is based on a LAN tester and allows you to check cable integrity before replacement. Issues that seem to be cable-related could be with the controller and or the motor. Many cables have been replaced, only to find that the issue persists; the problem was with another component.

The network cable tester verifies connectivity, wiring, and integrity by sending electrical signals from the battery-powered Main unit to the Remote unit. As the signal travels down each of the five wires, the tester identifies issues like opens or shorts.

• Open Circuit (Breaks): An LED does not light up at all, indicating a broken wire.
• Short Circuit: Multiple LED's Illuminate, the tester indicates that two or more wires are touching.
