The 4T Power Systems Multi-function Remote Control Trailer Light and Brake Tester with Volt/Ammeter is designed for RVs, trailers, and campers with a 7-blade RV Plug. This item includes four remote controls for trailer lights, a brake tester, and a Schwintek / Slide-out control with a Volt/Ammeter, all in one convenient unit.
There are two power options for the tester: the Milwaukee tool battery is available if the RV battery is low or not installed. Typically, upon connecting the 7-way trailer plug, the tester powers up if sufficient trailer battery power is available through the charge line, or if the tool battery is installed and turned on. The tool battery will override the RV
power, and the onboard buck converter is set to approximately 13.6VDC, the same as the RV Converter.
Two included remotes activate the systems as follows: "1" activates Trailer Brakes for 10 seconds, and "2" activates the TM (Tail/Marker Lights). "3" & "4" are momentary for left & right turn signals. "5" Back-up lighting. "6" will activate Brake lights and toggle the SAE Connector ON/OFF for testing furnaces, etc.
Two Remotes are included and are compatible with slides such as Schwintek, cable-operated, and through-frame electric slides.
Four Circuit breakers protect your RV: a 20-amp for electric brakes, a 20-amp for Schwintek & SAE, a 15-amp for lighting, and a 10-amp for Power Port/USB. Two
power outputs include a Power Port and a PID/USB charger. Perfect for setting up a backup camera system.
The SAE connector can operate moderate-sized single-motor cable and through-frame slides up to 25 amps. The two Schwintek connectors are opposite each other; one turns the motor clockwise, and the other turns it counterclockwise. There is no logic to the system; it purely drives the motors at full power in either direction.
The full battery-powered reversing Molex connection is strictly for motor loads, such as electric leveling legs and larger motor-driven slides. The Molex connector is protected internally by a self-resetting 50A circuit breaker.
At this point, every tester is unique in some aspects yet very much the same in function. I make minor changes in production that I believe improve the test box's functionality.
Cables included: 4" SAE with quick connectors and a 4' Molex cable with quick connectors, various Schwintek, etc.
